Designer Quynh Paris has recently unveiled her collection, Sprout, carrying a message of environmental protection. Notably, Sprout also marks a collaboration between Quynh Paris and Hientje Nguyen, a designer with 20 years of experience researching and developing fashion and handbag design.

Sprout seamlessly intertwines the elegance of the traditional Vietnamese áo dài with fresh, modern design elements. Bold, on-trend hues such as pink, orange, and blue are thoughtfully employed to reflect the beauty of nature and reinforce the collection’s message of environmental and atmospheric conservation.

The models’ elegance was further enhanced by Hientje Nguyen’s eco-friendly handbag designs, created with a vision of sustainability. Together, the two designers aimed to celebrate the image of a contemporary woman—confident and empowered, yet graceful and deeply connected to her cultural heritage.
As Quynh Paris remarked, “Fashion is not merely about aesthetics; it should carry a distinct identity and a meaningful message.”

For Hientje Nguyen, sustainable design extends far beyond the choice of green materials. She incorporates eco-conscious techniques throughout the creative process, favoring naturally structured silhouettes over foam, plastic, and other artificial padding materials. She also limits the use of metal embellishments, opting instead for metallic leather accents that enhance the visual appeal of her handbags while remaining true to her environmentally friendly design philosophy.

In her role as a designer, Hientje Nguyen welcomes the growing appreciation for sustainable fashion. More and more fashion brands are adopting environmentally conscious practices as a core part of their vision. She believes that sustainability does not limit creativity—instead, it challenges designers to explore fresh ideas and develop innovative solutions.

I see sustainable fashion as a beneficial path, both for designers and for the environment. It is more than just a trend; it also resonates with those who are shaping their personal image. Products created with sustainability at their core contribute to a more positive and responsible public image,” Hientje Nguyen shared.

Quynh Paris and Hientje Nguyen joined a talk show where they shared their perspectives on the future of sustainable fashion.
