In a muddy and dark pond, the lotus had to endure countless days of perseverance, digging its roots deep into the foul-smelling mud, waiting patiently for the moment its first blossoms would appear. At first, only a few flowers bloomed, but on the second day, the number of blossoms doubled compared to the first, and from then on, each day saw the lotus flowers bloom at twice the quantity of the day before. By the 30th day, the lotus had covered the entire surface of the lake.
This journey symbolizes willpower and unwavering persistence. Sometimes, in the deepest, darkest depths of our struggles, we feel stuck and hopeless — unable to see even a glimpse of success. Yet, with steadfast determination and tireless effort, the first flowers will bloom one day — and eventually, an entire lake will be filled with radiant lotus blossoms.
What’s more remarkable is the lotus’s pure essence: it grows from the mud without being tainted by its stench, standing out gracefully in any environment it’s placed in.
This symbolic beauty — the quiet resilience within and the brilliant glow on the outside — is the inspiration behind designer Hiente’s creations. It perfectly mirrors the spirit of presenting something meaningful to the public for the first time. The lotus reflects a relentless journey of effort — just like the path of staying true to one’s vision, resisting alluring offers from mass-production houses, and focusing solely on researching and innovating for the betterment of the industry.
