This metamorphosis closely mirrors the designer’s own story: a journey of four years and four months dedicated to researching, designing, and crafting a line of handbags that are remarkably flexible and transformative—an area rarely explored in depth by any handbag designer in the world.
Prior to this, Hiente Nguyen had spent more than twenty years studying, collecting, using, and trading luxury handbags. At the same time, he quietly nurtured a dream within the "cocoon": to establish the first and pioneering field of luxury handbag design and craftsmanship in Vietnam. Now, the time has come—the cocoon has matured, and the butterfly is ready to emerge and soar into the world.

This distinctive concept of transformation within a single handbag is unprecedented in Vietnam and rare worldwide in the realm of luxury handbag design. It represents the innovative and visionary work of international designer Hiente Nguyen, based in the Netherlands.
Each piece is 80% handcrafted in Vietnam by experienced artisans, requiring 30 to 50 hours to complete, including hand-painted elements. The design follows the haute couture tradition—blending visual artistry with practical application. This duality of form and function is a key focus of Hiente Nguyen’s personal research and creative process.
All bags in the collection are soft-structured box bags—stylish, durable, and highly adaptable to different needs. Each piece is made entirely from full-grain genuine leather, inside and out. The interior features a cold-stamped “Hiente” logo, marking it as an original creation designed and produced by Hiente Nguyen and his team.
