The "The Butterfly" collection by designer Hiente Nguyen is inspired by the vibrant beauty of nature—especially the magical moment when a cocoon transforms into a butterfly. This symbolic transformation also marks a special moment for Hiente Nguyen to make his debut to the public through the "The Butterfly" collection. This metamorphosis closely mirrors the designer’s own story: a journey of four years and four months dedicated to researching, designing, and crafting a line of handbags that are remarkably flexible and transformative—an area rarely explored in depth by any handbag designer in the world. Prior to this, Hiente Nguyen had spent more than twenty years studying, collecting, using, and trading luxury handbags. At the same time, he quietly nurtured a dream within the "cocoon": to establish the first and pioneering field of luxury handbag design and craftsmanship in Vietnam. Now, the time has come—the cocoon has matured, and the butterfly is ready to emerge and soar into the world.

This transformative feature, embedded in a single design, is unprecedented in Vietnam and rarely seen globally in luxury fashion. It is a testament to the innovative vision and creative reform brought to international fashion by Dutch-based designer Hiente Nguyen.

Each piece is handcrafted by Vietnamese artisans, with 80% of the process completed by hand. Every bag requires 30 to 50 hours to craft, including the hand-painting details. Designed in line with haute couture aesthetics, the product reflects a perfect harmony of artistry and function—hallmarks of Hiente Nguyen’s personal design philosophy.

All bags are soft-structured box styles, designed for ease of use across varied occasions. Each model is made entirely from premium full-grain leather, from the exterior to the inner lining. The interior is cold-stamped with the Hiente logo, signifying authenticity and creative authorship by Hiente Nguyen and his team.
